• Foreign nationals who satisfy all the following:
  
  
  • have money of their own which is under their control and disposable in the United Kingdom amounting to no less than £1 million
    
    
  • have own personal assets which, taking into account their liabilities, have a value exceeding £2 million
    
    
  • intend to invest not less than £750,000 of their capital in the United Kingdom by way of UK Government bonds, share capital or loan capital in active and trading UK registered companies
    
    Note: Excluding companies principally engaged in property investment and excluding investment by the applicant by way of deposits with a bank, building society or other enterprise whose normal course of business includes the acceptance of deposits
  
  
  
  • intend to make the United Kingdom their main home; and
    
    
  are able to maintain and accommodate themselves and any dependants without taking employment (other than self-employment or business) or recourse to public funds

• If your application is successful you will be granted permission to stay for 12 months, near the end of which, you may apply for an extension of up to 4 years. • You will be able to apply for permanent residence if you have been in the UK as an investor for 5 years without a break. Apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain
  
  Note: You can spend a short time outside the United Kingdom but you should keep absences to a minimum. If you spend more time away from the UK than in it, you will not qualify for permanent residence
